About Himgiri Zee University

Himgiri Zee University (HZU), established in 2003 by an Act of the Uttarakhand state legislature, is a private state university located at Sherpur, Sahaspur Road, Dehradun. The university is part of the Zee Learn Group (a subsidiary of the Essel Group / Zee Entertainment) and has strong programmes in media, management and engineering.

HZU has multiple faculties — Mass Communication & Media (leveraging Zee Group), Engineering & Technology, Sciences, Computer Applications, Management, Education and Law. NAAC accredited.
